2. Mobile-Specific Permissions

To provide specific device functionalities, the app may request the following permissions. You can manage or revoke these at any time in your Android system settings:

• Microphone Access (Optional): Required exclusively if you choose to use the Voice Search feature. Your voice input is processed solely to generate a text search query. The resulting query is handled as standard anonymous text. We do not store your voice recordings, assign them to your account, or use them for profiling.
• Device Storage / Files (Optional): Used strictly locally on your device to save your customized UI themes, visual preferences, and app configurations. None of this data is transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

3. Core Privacy Principles

MevaSearch Mobile maintains the exact same strict privacy standards as our web platform. When using the app, we guarantee:

• no search history assigned to your user account
• no user profiling or cross-site tracking
• no hidden tracking identifiers or background data harvesting
• no sale of your data to third parties

4. Scope of Processed Data

To operate the app and verify your subscription, the following data is processed:

• Account Data: Information regarding your active subscription (processed securely via Polar.sh) is required to grant you access to the app.
• Technical Data: Your IP address and basic device information (e.g., Android version) are processed exclusively for technical, security (including NetKrypton anti-phishing protection), and diagnostic purposes.
• Search Queries: All searches performed in the app are anonymous. They are not linked to your account, do not build a search history, and are immediately decoupled from your identity.

5. Third-Party Integrations & Sub-processors

To deliver our hybrid search results and AI-powered insights, your search queries are forwarded to external index providers in a strictly anonymous form—without any user identifiers, account references, or personal data attached. These providers receive only the query text and standard technical request metadata (such as the MevaSearch server IP).

• Search Indexes: WebAtlas, Brave Search API, and Mojeek API.
• AI Content Generation: Google Gemini AI (used exclusively to generate AI summaries above results).
• Infrastructure: Hostinger (Server infrastructure located in the EEA) and Polar.sh (Payment processor).

6. Kids Mode & Parental Controls

If Kids Mode is enabled on your MevaSearch account via the web, those settings automatically apply to the mobile app.

• SafeSearch is permanently locked to Strict filtering.
• Access to billing, payment settings, and subscription management is blocked.
• The mode can only be disabled by entering the account holder's password.
