App Terms of Use
MevaSearch for Android (com.mevasearch.app)
Version: 1.0 · Date: 07.10.2026
In short: the app is free to install and is a way to use MevaSearch on your phone. Using MevaSearch in the app works exactly as on the website, under the MevaSearch Terms of Service. Download the app only from app.mevasearch.com or an official app store, and don't modify or resell it.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
The app is provided by Igor Oprządek, Bągart 14A, Poland, e-mail: mevasearch[at]weborbiton.com — the operator of
MevaSearch. These terms cover installing and using the MevaSearch app for Android (package
com.mevasearch.app) and the download page app.mevasearch.com.
The MevaSearch service you use through the app — your account, plans, payments, Kids Mode, search, AI features and the rules on prohibited content — is governed by the MevaSearch Terms of Service and the Billing & Refund Policy. If these app terms and the Terms of Service differ on something about the service, the Terms of Service prevail.
2. The app and your account
- Installing the app is free. Searching with MevaSearch requires an account and an active plan, as described in the Terms of Service.
- The app contains no in-app purchases and no advertising. Plans are not sold in the app.
- The app shows the MevaSearch service; features, limits and availability are the same as on the website and may change with the service.
3. Licence
We grant you a free, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install the app on devices you own or control and to use it to access MevaSearch for your own, non-commercial use, including by members of your household under the account rules in the Terms of Service.
You may not:
- modify, repackage or re-sign the app, or distribute it, its copies or modified versions, except by sharing a link to app.mevasearch.com or an official app store page;
- decompile or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- use the app to automate searches, scrape results, get around plan limits or security measures, or otherwise break Sections 7 and 8 of the Terms of Service.
The MevaSearch name, logo and design remain our property. The app includes open-source components (such as React Native, Expo and react-native-webview) that are provided under their own licences; nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
4. Official sources and updates
- Download the app only from app.mevasearch.com or an official app store listing published by us. You can check a file from our page against the SHA-256 checksum shown there. We are not responsible for copies obtained elsewhere, which may be modified or harmful.
- An app installed from our page does not update itself. New versions are published on app.mevasearch.com; installing a newer version over an older one keeps your settings and login. We recommend using the latest version. Older versions may stop working when the service changes.
- The app requires Android 7.0 or newer and a working internet connection. An iPhone version is not available yet.
5. Device features
The home-screen widget, searching from other apps, the digital assistant setting, camera (photo search) and microphone (voice search) are optional. Android lets you turn them on and off, and you can withdraw permissions at any time in your phone's settings. How these features handle data is described in the App Privacy Policy.
6. Links and third-party content
Links in search results open in an in-app browser tab, your default browser or another app. Those websites and apps are not operated by us, and their own terms and policies apply. As set out in Section 9 of the Terms of Service, we are not responsible for third-party websites or for content returned by search and AI providers.
7. Availability and liability
- We work to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or work on every device and Android version.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights related to digital content and services under Polish and European Union law.
- Complaints about the app can be sent to mevasearch[at]weborbiton.com. We reply within 14 days.
8. Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; this deletes everything the app stored on your phone. Deleting the app does not delete your MevaSearch account — you can do that at mevasearch.com/account/remove. If you break these terms, we may revoke your licence to use the app, and the consequences under the Terms of Service apply to your account.
9. Changes and final provisions
- We may change these terms for legal, security or technical reasons, or when the app changes. The version and date above show the current terms; significant changes affecting account holders are also announced by e-mail.
- These terms are governed by Polish law, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
- If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
